Chairs With Woven Seats

Ligna Thonet Bentwood's, Breuer Cesca, Bauhaus & Hans Wegner Chairs

As you can imagine there's an amazing range of different designs and styles of chairs in the world, and the Michael Thonet Bentwood and Marcel Breuer Cesca ( Marcel Breuer's Biography ) and Bauhaus design chairs were some of the most popular with many of them having handwoven cane seats and backs.
The great Danish furniture designer Hans Wegner often used cane in the seats woven in various patterns. The use of Paper Cord and Danish Cord were commonly used giving the unique natural look and feel for these cleverly designed chairs.
