Webbing

Webbing/Mesh - Rattan

This material is pre woven and can be used in a number of applications, including some Commercial Projects, but is more commonly used in chair seats and door panels.
We stock
Close Knit Weave, Herringbone Weave,
Radio Weave & Open Weave Rattan Webbing.

Rattan Webbing is generally used for DIY re caning chair seats and backs. You can apply shellac, stain or paint to finish, however leaving the Rattan Webbing in its natural state is best. The webbing however will darken slightly with age and sunlight.
Soak in warm water no longer than 30 mins, then drip dry before fitting. Soaking for longer periods can weaken and darken the cane strands. See instructions below under pre woven diy kits.
